Join The Team

Looking to join a passionate, results-driven team that knows how to have fun while working hard?

What you should know about us before you apply

We are results-driven, because we care passionately about the R+ dog professionals we support, and about the dogs and dog lovers they in turn serve. We love going to bed each night knowing we’re making a positive difference in the lives of dog pros and, through them, in the lives of dogs all over the world.

We care A LOT about meeting deadlines and fulfilling obligations to each other and those we serve. We strive to be flexible, ready to respond to the needs of our industry, our clients/members/students, and each other.

We are a small team who actively care about each other and work closely together but who also spend most days working independently.

We value work / life balance deeply--our own and each others’, and so are quick to take turns taking up the slack.

We believe work should be enjoyable, and we try to approach all we do with an equal measure of seriousness and fun. In short, we like to laugh a lot while we’re getting stuff done.

Who we’re looking for

We invite you to join dogbiz coaches and fellow R+ dog trainers in a supportive brain trust!

Obviously, we look for people who have the skill sets and experience to rock whatever job they’re applying for with us. But on our small team that’s not enough by a long shot.

We look for cheerful, ego-free colleagues who love to play on a team but also relish and thrive working independently.

We look for people who love to problem solve, who enjoy a good challenge, and who are driven by end results.

Before you apply to join our team, answer these questions honestly:

  • Do you love to take on a challenge or conceptualize a problem, visualize the desired end result, then experiment and innovate solutions? Do you refuse to let fear of failure get in your way of doing so?
  • Are you creative? Are you good at and do you enjoy generating ideas both independently and in concert with others?
  • Are you comfortable thinking and acting outside the box?
  • Are you happy to take ideas (your own and others’) and run with them without specific instructions?
  • Are you self-sufficient–able to plan and implement projects without supervision?
  • Do you work without ego? Do you take input gladly when offered? Are you able to proceed without it?

If you can answer these questions with an enthusiastic, “Yes!” we’d love you to take a look at our open positions!

We are an equal opportunity employer. We enthusiastically welcome applications from all qualified persons, regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or veteran status.
